    Hey everyone, I am new to this but I will break the ice.

    If someone is being paid to perform a task, don’t you think they should work on it so that they can perform to the best of their abilities? For example, is an NBA player missing free throws acceptable?

    Yes, but not routinely. Practice makes perfect, if a player knows that he has trouble with free throws he’s obligated to improve. That’s why they pay him the big bucks. Any player pro or not should strive to correct his shortcomings.
